ERA-NET projects aim to establish long-term collaborations with other funding agencies that form consortiums and to fund the projects.

Purpose of the Program:

Exchanging knowledge and good practices through existing programs

Identifying and analyzing general strategic issues

Developing joint activities between national and regional programs

TÜBİTAK Bilateral Cooperation Supports

There are bilateral cooperation agreements signed with various countries at the intergovernmental and interinstitutional levels in the fields of science and technology. These agreements support and monitor joint research projects, and provide financial support for activities such as joint scientific meetings, expert exchanges, study visits, and more.

 

TÜBİTAK 1709 – EUREKA-EUROSTARS

The call will support international R&D projects aimed at developing innovative market-oriented products, processes, and services, with the participation of at least one partner from Turkey and one Eurostars member country. Eurostars-3, to be run between 2021 and 2027, aims to support innovative SMEs in increasing their R&D and innovation capacity and productivity, helping them access global value chains and new markets.

 

COST Actions

It is an organization that aims to bring together scientists from across Europe who are experts in their fields in international scientific networks called COST Action, and thus to bring scientists who continue their national research to the international arena.

All scientists working full-time in the private sector, public institutions, and universities are eligible to benefit from COST. Financial support is provided for COST Actions, including Steering Committee and Working Group meetings, workshops, scientific conferences, scientific courses, short-term scientific visits, and publications resulting from studies conducted within the scope of these actions. 

 

Horizon Europe Programs

The European Research Council (ERC) funds frontier research projects and the scientists who will carry them out, based solely on criteria of scientific excellence. Decisions are made by the scientists on the ERC Scientific Council, and evaluations are conducted by leading scientists in their respective fields.

Marie Skłodowska Curie International Scholarships and Research Mobility Supports (MSCA)  aim to strengthen the human potential in research and technology in terms of quality and quantity, support the career development of researchers, encourage international and cross-sectoral researcher mobility and thus make Europe and Turkey a center of attraction for researchers.

Health Cluster

The aim of the Horizon Europe Health Cluster is to improve and protect the health and well-being of citizens of all ages by generating new knowledge, developing innovative solutions and integrating a gender perspective where relevant to prevent, diagnose, monitor, treat and cure diseases.

Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies Cluster

The Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies Cluster is structured around the objectives of enhancing democratic governance and citizen participation, protecting and promoting cultural heritage, responding to and shaping multifaceted social, economic, technological and cultural transformations, mobilising European expertise in the social sciences and humanities, and developing evidence-based policy options for a socially just and inclusive European recovery.

Civil Security Cluster

The cluster's primary objective is to support EU security-related policy priorities, including cybersecurity and disaster risk reduction and resilience. It will also address the prevention, mitigation, preparedness, and capacity building of crises (including health crises), as well as the intersectoral aspects of such crises, drawing on lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis.

Digital, Industry and Space Cluster

Actions under this cluster will support key enabling technologies that are strategically important for Europe's industrial future and deliver the following six expected impacts in the Strategic Plan.

Global leadership in clean and climate-neutral industrial value chains, circular economy and climate-neutral digital systems and infrastructures (networks, data centers)

Industrial leadership and increased autonomy in key strategic value chains with security of supply for raw materials

Dominance in digital technologies, new and emerging technologies

To create a globally attractive, secure and dynamic agile data economy by developing and utilizing next-generation computing, data technologies and infrastructures.

Strategic autonomy in designing, developing and implementing global space-based infrastructures, services, applications and data

Human-centered and ethical development of digital and industrial technologies

Climate, Energy and Mobility Cluster

This Cluster is based on the idea of ​​achieving the EU's goal of becoming the world's first climate-neutral continent by 2050. Cluster 5 aims to support projects that contribute to the European Green Deal and Digital Europe priorities, as well as the objectives of EU strategies related to climate (EU Climate Law, 2030 Climate Target Plan, EU Climate Adaptation Strategy), energy (Hydrogen Strategy, Renewal Wave for Europe, EU Strategy for Energy System Integration, Offshore renewable energy), and mobility (Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy).

Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment Area Cluster

The aim of this cluster is to ensure food sustainability, prevent environmental degradation, protect biodiversity, secure water, and implement an economy that better manages natural resources. The field plans to support projects on biodiversity, environmentally friendly food production systems and food chains, circular and bio-economy, clean environment and waste prevention, strengthening rural, urban, and coastal communities, environmental monitoring technologies, and the European Union Green Deal.
